Mr. Flynn hung pictures of 100 great Americans on his classroom walls.  Bets and her classmates had to discover the identities of each person and then write twenty words that told why that person was important.  Only a few of these people are named in Miss E.  so we're collecting suggestions on who the rest of the people on Mr. Flynn's wall could be.

Bets and her friends were excited about their trip to San Francisco because they were hoping to see some of their favorite musicians.  As a college student living in San Francisco, Emmy Hatcher certainly was into the same music, and if her tie dyed curtains and peace signs were any indication, she must have had stacks of records by musicians who made the Haight Ashbury neighborhood their home.in 1967.  You can listen to some of them here.
